The Technology Investigation and Forensic Science Symposium for 2023 was held on October 20th in the International Conference Hall on the third floor of our school's Science Building. This event was jointly organized by the Forensic Science Department, Criminal Investigation Department, and Information Management Department, in collaboration with the Dr. Lee Chang-Yu Foundation for Forensic Science Education, the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of the Interior, and the Taipei Yanping Rotary Club.
The symposium featured keynote speeches and paper presentations. Deputy Director Chiu Shao-Chou from the Criminal Investigation Bureau delivered a speech on the topic of "Scientific Investigation in the Age of Technology." A total of 35 research papers and 33 poster presentations were included in the program.
Distinguished guests in attendance came from various organizations, including the Chinese Criminal Investigation and Prevention Association, the Criminal Investigation Center of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, the Police Administration Department of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, the Taiwan Society for Forensic Science, and the Forensic Science Division of the Ministry of Justice's Investigation Bureau. The exchange of practical and academic knowledge was vibrant, and the event concluded successfully.
